One of the benefits of buying Lobb shoes at a discount-- it gives ya a real sartorial thrill to see them featured in magazines for full retail-- see page 62 of the Eva Longoria Esquire magazine; the John Lobb Farndon model I recently purchased. cool. Do JL shoes cost a lot even at discount? YES. Are they worth charging it on the credit card and paying off over two paychecks or two months? You bet your ass they are. For those of you in the size 9.5 category, you should really check these out-- why not suck it up and pay these off over the next two months/ two paychecks-- a really sweet pair of brown laceup lobbs, by the looks of it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....66&rd=1 size 8 suede boots, too....nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....92&rd=1

The boots are suede, the shoes, though advertises as suede are not.. It is hard for me to take the auction seriously when the opening bid is $650 and the description is not correct.

every january when i'm in switzerland, the various hermes stores (with lausanne and geneva likely being the better two of the lot) always have lobb shoes on sale, and by the end of the month, some of them are marked down to as little as CHF300 or so the interesting thing is how the same pair of shoes on sale at two different hermes stores can have two vastly different prices finding a large size can be problem though so deals can be had
