A tailoring question.

Hello,

Having never had this sort of issue before I am at a slight loss here.

Could any quality tailor add a lapel notch for the boutonniere or pocket watch chain to the lapel?

The lapel in question is a silk-satin material.

I think he is referring to the lapel buttonhole? Best to examine an example of a tailor's buttonholes before you let him at your jacket...

Yes, I am referring to a buttonhole.

I own a tuxedo with peak lapels which oddly enough do not possess a buttonhole.
