Merry Christmas!

Just placed my first order. I was waiting for a sale to get some Marcoliani socks for the first time. I hope they fit me, my shoe size is EU 45.5 to 46.

I had contacted Marcoliani 2 times but they never replied. It seems that EU people have no other real ( concerning selection ) choice but to buy from a US distributor. This is not very convenient given the fact that Marcoliani socks are produced inside in EU. There are many problems when making a purchase from a country outside the EU. Even if we don't pay customs, very often we have to pay an inspection fee just because... Since you work with Marcoliani maybe you would like to inform them that there are a lot of EU people both here and on the Ask Andy forum that would like an alternative. I understand that this is not good for your sales numbers but it's really a risk for us to order from you. And I don't have to start talking about USPS First-Class Mail International, do I

Cheers

We restocked once this fall, due to the high demand and the great reception our pants received. We will be receiving our next collection in the spring. But size 48/32 is not sold out completely. There are four styles still in stock in the size:

That was really my fear aswell. Not only is the customs (which is some cases can be upwords of 25% because the EU wants to punish America) and then the local VAt, in my case 25%...So all in all it may end up being mighty expensive...

Still, I desided to give it a go, and I have just ordered 2 pairs of the Marcoliani. I just gotta try them. And try the process of ordering from America again, which I actually havent done in more than 10 years. because of the reason mentioned...I can always order more, if everything goes smothely and I like the socks..

Wishing you all a joyful 2010.

The big winter sale is still going on at www.howardyount.com. Lots of styles have sold out but there's still a number of great items to choose from. The backlog of orders will start shipping first thing tomorrow.

Just got my order: 28 Cotton Green Brushed Twill pants 28 Cotton Tobacco Brown Brushed Twill pants Navy/Cerulean Blue Dot Pocket Square Great stuff. At work, I dress up because I want to, not because I have to. The brushed twill is perfect for that, a nice balance between clean-cut-office and weekend-knockabout. I'm not a fan of pants with sheen, so I dig the matte finish on the twill. I have muscular legs and the fit is quite good, slim without being tight. The colors are very close to the website, nice work on the photography. The green pair, oddly enough, matches almost exactly with my green waxed canvas Filson duffle. I've been trying to find a good pair of green pants to break up all the grey/navy I own. The tobacco brown is a unique sort of brown, it's not a shade I see too often in pants. It reminds me of the brown you'd see on officer's uniforms in WWII. I hope you restock these next F/W or heck, even for S/S. Missed out on the gray this time, but I'll definitely get a pair next time. Also, where are the navy pants? I could only afford to get one square with all other holiday sales going on, blue/light blue seemed to be the most versatile. Again, quality stuff at a very reasonable price.

Just received my tie and pants. Really like the weight/fabric on these cotton pants. Great fit and nice hand to the fabric. The hand written note was a great touch as well! Can't wait until I can order again.
