I am still curious what the difference is in width. 0.25 inches? Is it the case that the flannels were cut slimmer than the published specs?

Alas that Jamison isn't here to weigh in on these differences.

I'm leaning towards keeping them—i'll measure the exact difference tonight. It's like a half inch, which would be a full inch difference in circumference. Within my tolerances—though probably not within manufacturing tolerances.

You know it's an odd thing. For months I've been going through the rain without an umbrella and I thought I got to get me a HY blackwatch umbrella.. Now that I've had it for over a month it stopped raining. I keep bringing it with me but I'm starting to feel a little silly. Go figure lol.

These are the light grey hopsack I got from @europrep. I've decided to wear them like a grown man. What do you guys think? Size 32, USA cut, leg openings are at 8 1/8", styled with Carmina Uetam penny loafers.

Glad they found a good home. Cut looks very nice on you

Thanks again for the slick deal. Still getting used to these wider legs.

yeah dude, those are perfect on you. i have yet to find trousers that cut such a fine silhouette on me! @ScottMC

I can imagine slight more taper at the thigh but really, that seems to me textbook. Clean lines. Better this than a tapered trouser without them.

So, I ordered from HY and now one unusual thing and I start to worry again:
I received the shipping confirmation on Friday, but until now, nothing has been shipped:
Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS

Anyone had the same thing before?

I for myself decided now that this would be the last time I've ordered from HY. There is always a bit of worrying with each order, not very satisfying overall.

Yes. In past it took a few days. I suspect you'll see something today or tomorrow. Report back good news.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully, I'll be able to report back, but I am certain I will. Was just put a bit off that 4 days later nothing has happened.

I received the dark gray flannels and am happy to report they are the exact same size as my prior flannel pant orders.  Thus far, it appears the size discrepancy may be limited to only the Summer pants (fresco and tropical wool).

Remember that while HY may be a bit slow to ship, USPS isn't the fastest or most reliable service... Their updates often seem to trail the real time progress of the package.

NB: I got two packages from HY recently, no issues.

I am not too worried now, given that someone experienced that before. But all of this wouldnt be an issue if HY caused me to be paranoid (obviously this is a lot more my fault than his, but still).

I ordered from KW yesterday and it shipped today. Just seems that Jamison is busy at the moment.

Might be the sales. I've always had a lag from preshipping confirmation to actual shipping data on USPS of 3 days or so. Sounds like whatever else is going on with him, he is shipping orders out (and adding new stock!).
