You will not be disappointed in HY flannels.

Generally up to what tempature are 12 oz lambs wool flannels comfortable? I live in temperate San Francisco.

I have considered the 10 oz as well but HY is out of my size. I wonder also if these won't feel the same being so light weight

Mid 60's today, the 12.3oz wool twill was perfect.

I have the 100 VBCs and they are fine up to about 55 degrees outside. Above that, it may get a bit warm.

I guess it is somewhat personal.  Our winters are often in the low to mid 60's for the high and rainy

I generally don't like to wear the lambswool flannels in weather above about 55, but I run warm.

Thanks.  I am really attracted to heavier fabric trousers because they look a little more casual and interesting but end up with too many winter pants in for my climate.

Does anyone have experince with 10 oz flannels?  Do you get the same look and feel?

Is Jamison still shipping orders super quickly? Would like to order a sweater...

I don't know what all the fuss is about on SF. Yes HY is still open for business, and yes any I've ever ordered shipped quickly.

Not sure exactly what you mean by "the fuss", but he has an affiliate thread here, and he has a private mailbox here, and to my knowledge he hasn't answered messages posted to either in several months.

For what it's worth, I just placed an order from Australia and it was shipped correctly, quickly and efficiently.

It's really quite simple:

When things go right with HY, they go very right.

However, sadly, when things go wrong with HY, they tend to go very wrong to the point that simple problems/queries often go permanently unresolved.

The ratio of right:wrong seems to be in the 10:1 range and that ratio has represented my experiences as well.

Just to share an experience I ordered the wrong size (last week) and Jamison responded immediately, sent out the larger size and refunded me a day after receiving my return. All within a 2 week timeframe. Was pretty impressive IMO. Also, for whatever it's worth my tailor was incredibly curious as to the origin of the trousers and mentioned their quality multiple times.

Just curious, through what email address did you correspond with him?
