These are really nice.

The only thing that stops be from buying HY stuff is the lack of seeing it on a person//in real life and without a generic white background.

Got some trousers from HY. He was easy to get in touch with and polite the entire time. I guess I need to take back what I said about not buying from HY if I can't get in touch with him. Foot in mouth.

I'll post pictures later. I need to get them hemmed.

Good to hear mrjester!

I've always praised HY's products/service despite the stories.

Lately, however, I will admit I've had a number of emails go unanswered and an improper item shipped without resolution.

Frustrating. Yet, still, I buy...

I have one or two other things I want from his current selection. He even emailed me and told me he could not find my size, then offered a discount when it was found, due to the delay in shipment. It's not exactly prompt customer service, but it's there. He was prompt when I knew I had an issue. Hope yours gets resolved.

I have made a couple purchases in the past months and the delivery is extremely fast.  I haven't needed to communicate with him, so no complaints here regarding slow service/response time.  Latest purchase was the Wool Plaid Jacket with grays & blues.  Fantastic for summer - only lining is sleeves and a little around the shoulders.  Material is extremely breathable.

Here are some pretty crappy pics.

That SC looks awesome for summer!

The buttoning-point and length seem to work very well for you based on those shots.

I've got my basic jackets finally; I need some patterns in my life.

I recently purchased the single breasted and double breasted suits from Jamison's website in the light navy blue linen-one lined, and one unlined. Living in Southern California, I figured they would be a good investment as I can wear them year round, and mix and match the jackets with odd trousers whenever it seems appropriate. At first the jackets were gigantic in the waist and torso, but since they fit well in the shoulders and back, I took them to get tailored and will be receiving them this evening, with pictures to follow this weekend. I am still a little concerned that the jackets are too short, as I'm 6'2'', but I'm not sure that will be a huge problem because these aren't exactly meant for office wear. The fabric seemed great, and their were plenty of signs of good craftsmanship. I'm pumped to pick them up tonight for my date. The true barometer of how good they look is if I get lucky. nod[1].gificon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

That's why I have never got an OTR sport coat. I'm 6' and wear a 38. That means I need a 38L.. and can never find them.

Ended up getting a refund from HY a few weeks ago after ~9 weeks from date of return. Long wait, but it did get sorted out.

So the US made pants are a little looser than the Italian made ones?

And how is the fit for the Italians-made vs epaulet pants?

I have a suit, a dozen ties, two pocket squares, and a pair of shoes from Howard Yount. Never had to wait too long to receive the packages, despite being shipped overseas, and the one time I had difficulty communicating with Jamison, I had to wait less than a week to hear back from him.

A student of mine ordered a tie from HY and had some difficulties (wrong tie, subsequent communication). In the end, Jamison did more than right by him.

Point being, like a lot of other people on this thread, I'm buying as long as Jamison is selling.

I just realized I never got around to posting the suit to the this thread:

US made is looser in the thigh and seat. HY Italian is a bit fuller in the length and rise of the pants than Epaulet Walt. Epaulet Walt is slimmer throughout the length. At least this has been my experience.
