Usually lightweight wool, but definitely thinking of throwing some more linen into the mix for this year. Three more pairs of HY trousers are being included in my budget smile.gif

Im going to order some pants, but im not sure about the sizes.  I usually wear 30 30 pants. should i go for size 28 or 30?

btw, I wear brooks brother sweaters in small, aer HY sweatersin XS too large?

I just bought my first ever pair of tropical wool pants for an upcoming vacation and was quite impressed. I have my doubts that they'll wear quite as cool as linen, but to me they look worlds better. If the performance is even similar, I'll definitely invest in more.

The size charts are fairly accurate, so it is worth measuring and deciding for yourself. Personally, I found HY to be consistent with other OTR trousers, but YMMV.

How much length would you say there is in the unhemmed wool trousers? Id love to order a pair of two of HY pants but im a 35 or 36 length and just want to make sure theres enough room to work with before ordering. And if i could actually have a cuff on a pair of pants for once i dont even know what id do.

I believe the inseam length is on the measurement charts.

Also in case anyone was wondering, I was finally able to get a refund on the pair of trousers.

I wear a small sweater in BB and HY both, they are pretty similar.

I asked Jamison about restocks of the flannel pants. The Italian-made ones are not going to be restocked until next fall. confused.gif

I have to thank Jamison for meeting me last week at his office to exchange two pair of trousers and to allow me to try a few things. He ran around like crazy for the ~30 min I was there. Great to talk and meet the man behind the website. Thanks again!

I think Jamison needs more stock in pants. these things always sell out (which is good) but seems there are always more buyers.

It seems like he could probably make his life easier if he offered a somewhat smaller number of products in larger volumes. The range of the Howard Yount collection is staggering for a one-man operation and I have to believe that he has an enormous amount of money tied up in a sprawling inventory.
