I like the pants but the excessive number of belt loops has always been a turn off for me and subsequently prevented me from ordering.

Keep in mind it's a one man operation, and he is in New York, which between Sandy and this damn snowstorm has been a bit under the weather.

really? I much prefer that to companies that put like 4 loops on and call it a day.

if it bothers you, just have them removed.

I actually like belt loops. Fewer belt loops is actually a way manufacturers cut costs.

Since you're looking for an explanation it meant your comment was laughable to imply less belt loops were a sign of skimping as well as your suggestion of modifying a brand new garment.

So does that mean you don't have your unfinished trousers hemmed, or your jackets tailored to your body?

I wasn't the one who suggested modifying the garment, but like the guy above me said, unless you leave your trousers unfinished, then you're also modifying a brand new garment.
