I wear wool pants + a dress shirt to work 90% of the time, with and without a sport coat. I find wool superior to cotton in about every way. Durability, wrinkles, look, feel, etc...

The only thing I am not a fan of is wool pants + Polo shirts (but I don't own any Polo shirts at all so take that for what its worth).

For sizing, HY is true to size. Their 30's are about 30-31 waist (BB has slight vanity sizing, I find their 30's are closer to 31-32).

I think if you're in a casual tech setting, it probably makes sense to stick to chinos. I would go after more tailored ones like incotex.

WOW!!!!! Just received my first HY order today! I am blown away by how good this flannel pant is:

Pros:

- Quick shipping...only took a week from NY to Toronto. Glad HY is located in New York as opposed to a state further from me.
- Best packaging from any online order in my experience. From the box, to the minimal tape (hate taking forever to open a package), to the personal card, to the gift wrap. Phenomenal.
- Amazing quality. These are my first 100% wool trousers as I am making a shift away from chinos because I read that wool drapes the body better for slim people.
- Fit seems really good too. I just quickly wore it now and it fits true to size. I am a 32 usually and that's what I went with. Size down wouldnt have fit and sizing up would have been too big. I might need to let a little out in the waist though as it felt a bit tight.
- Made in Italy...yeah that kind of makes me feel good about myself.
- Really happy with the color as well, it's a dark grey...just what I was after.

Cons:

- I want to order more icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Definitely no need to size up. They're cut loose to be worn over a jacket. If you are certain you wouldn't be wearing a suit or jacket underneath, you could even try sizing down. They are very warm fabric, but not heavy. For a NYC winter, you'd want them layered over something a little warmer like a jacket or sweater.

Concerning the suit Windowpane Suit - Blue/Gray and Brown - 100% superfine Australian wool from Ermenegildo Zegna. Description says that it has suede elbow patches. Anyway to get a photo the elbow patches?

1) Is that navy cardigan part of the new stock? How is the fit on that? Does it fit slim? A slim medium fits me fine in most stuff.

2) When will the nailhead pants be restocked?

1) Yes. Fit is a classic slim, really what I'm going for across the board--not aggressively tight, not frumiply loose.

2) Not until Spring 2013, as early as February. I consider this a spring/summer fabric and we have to have some limits on how much we keep in stock. Right now we have 132 different fabrics in stock, with at least one pair/size available.

Just wanted to offer a website suggestion - it would be great to use a drop down menu to select a size and then show all available items of any style in that size.

Jamison, I know you're swamped with new product, so I hate to bother you, but could you post some measurements for the cashmere rugby, size Small specifically?

The site design goes back four years (!!!!) so it is due for a refresh.Frankly, I think there's something to be said for a very simple site, uncluttered site without excess functionality, but I think it could be made easier to browse.
