Yes, we have another round of these leaving Italy next week. Fabric is not identical, but very similar.

Not terribly soon. We'll have them by end of May.

Yes. I'm hoping to have them before too long. There's a few styles (far more for Fall 2012) including a blue linen in single and db.

Jamison have you ever done button fly trousers? Perhaps I am blind but I am seeing only zip fly on the website. Does a button fly closure add considerably to the cost, or is there some other reason for doing all zip fly?

Dewey - I'm interested in knowing your reasoning on why you would a button fly trouser.

I kind of find them to be a pain in the ass. Jeans, not so much for whatever reason.

If they are leaving next week from Italy (the summer blazer), when would they be available for purchase? Just trying to get an idea of timeframe. Will this bring other summer-y sports jackets, too?

I don't loathe button-fly, but I've found that if the fit is off in the hips a bit, it can create an unfortunate look. No one wants gaping crotch buttons. In the interest of having a single pattern, we haven't done button fly or side adjusters, but might do the latter eventually.

Realistically I'd say 3/27. They'll need to cross the ocean and clear customs, then we'll photograph, etc. We'll be getting something like half the styles in this first shipment.

I dunno why, for sure, but I love the button fly on all trousers. I'd like to say the fit is better but that would be a lie. It's more of an aesthetic thing. To me zippers are more like velcro than buttons. Seems like a compromise. Buttons can get all kinds of cool. They come in various interesting materials. Buttonholes are a good time too.

Come to think of it, I generally avoid zippers on jackets too. If I ever saw a button-up harrington jacket I would want to buy it. Rag & Bone has something sort of like that right now and I looked twice when I saw it.

Not seeing any button fly Howard Younts, I was curious if Jamison and/or most people hate the BF. Or maybe there is some other reason they are not worth it. This is why I asked, because I am curious.

edit: thanks Jamison for the answer. We posted at the same time. I was sure you had at least considered it at some point.

rather, i loathe the BF on jeans.

ALSO, do you have a NYC showroom setup?

I don't know if this is taboo or what J's practice has been, but are there perks for SF members, i.e. discounts/free shipping?

There's free shipping within the US on all orders over $100. We don't do any discounts or special codes or anything like that. Rather, I prefer to keep the prices lower from the beginning.

Sort of. It's a little bare still, but up and running. A number of local and out of town guys have stopped by, and we can have visitors by appointment.

In case you didn't get, or didn't see, the email from last night, we've got some new stuff. Some fantastic pocket squares, and new sweaters: red, white (well, Earl Gray) and blue cashmere, and some excellent cotton. I'll try and get a fit pic of the cotton ones soon to do them justice. These:
