HY trews are far from nut-huggingly slim if that is your concern.

Hope I didn't imply that

I own HY and Epaulet Walts/Rudys, the HY pants land in between the Walt and Rudy in my experience. Not as slim as the Walts and slightly slimmer than the Rudy. Both have fantastic fabrics and construction, either way you can't lose.

I would have to agree that HY is closer to the Epaulet Rudy than Walt, with the difference being that the waist is a bit less forgiving on HY pants (EP 32 waist is more like a 32.5 or 33 for rivet chinos/walts, respectively). I am a 32, 5'10, 165 and workout, and both the Walts and HY fit me well.

I do a large majority of my shopping split between EP and HY, and I would say that both are excellent choices. It really just comes down to what they have out at the time/what sizes are available, but in either case the quality is there.

Anyone know if the sale stuff is returnable? I'm contemplating grabbing a pair of chukkas, but not confident on the sizing.

Anything not marked Final Sale is returnable within 30 days, so long as it is unworn and the order is from the United States. We don't take international returns for a number of reasons--primarily time in transit and customs/duties.

Hi Howard, do you find that your products are good value/a bargain in comparison to the same quality goods of other brands? Do you think you offer the same quality of nice brands that cost much more? Where do you put your products in regards to quality?

Oh, I wouldn't be very good at this if I couldn't be somewhat objective about our products! Yes, I do think we offer good value across the board. Products are made to a high standard, and our costs and markups are kept in check, allowing for a regular retail price that is considerably lower than comparable goods from larger merchants.

Can I chime in as a HY customer?

I have no affiliation with HY, other than being a satisfied customer, so here goes:

I have purchased two pairs of trousers, and one cashmere sweater from HY, plus several pairs of wool socks.

The construction on the trousers is fantastic, really, you cant say much more than that. I recently purchased some Incotex from B&S, and some Hicky Freeman trousers online, the fabric quality, and construction details are comparable in all three, FWIW, the original price of the HF trousers was $295.

The cashmere sweater is a simple thing of beauty, it is not too full cut, or too trim. The sweater is made in Scotland of Scottish cashmere, and has a great hand, this is not a cheap chinese chashmere.

On top of the quality to price ratio, HY customer service is easy to deal with, I can admit to being a little high maintenace, and he handled all of my requests with no issues, I tried several pairs of trousers until I felt like I got the fit, and fabric to what I wanted, HY even sent me two pairs of trousers on my first order, when I only paid for one, so I could try them both on, and make the determination of which pair to keep, and which to return.

I am very much looking forward to future HY products, S/S Sportcoats? and next F/W!

Hope this helps.

I'm thinking about trying some of their pants. Are there different fits/models?

I have a bunch of high rise, pleated pants and I think I need some lower rise flat front pants for more casual / work related. Are HY trousers for me?

If I wear the pants high at my true waist, I require about a 30 inch waist. Which size should I get for lower rise / sitting lower closer to my hips Howard Yount trousers?

Hey, wondering if you'll be getting more double monks anytime soon. Thanks
