I'll probably get some more next year, though perhaps different colors. FYI A few pairs of pants have come back on returns/exchanges over the past week.

any update on the big knit ties?
No word yet, unfortunately. Sorry about that. Total radio silence from the maker. I was supposed to be getting a bunch of new knits this fall and none of them have arrived.

I have some disappointing news on the cashmere scarves. We had been expecting a big shipment all fall, but had to cancel the majority of the order as the quality was just not up to snuff--the weaving at the ends, where the scarf transitioned to fringe, was inconsistent. It wouldn't affect the use at all, but it just didn't measure up in my mind.

I did manage to have a few made, a couple colors in the same glen plaid we had last fall, and a couple in a great twill/melange. Honestly, there are so few that it isn't fair to send out a notice to the mailing list, since I expect them to sell out before most would even get to the email.

So consider this a little advance notice. I'll try to get them up on the site by Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

I apologize for the noob question, but what's the difference between the classic flannel, the VBC flannel, and the VBC super 120? Do they fit the same? Is the VBC lighter material?

Gearing up to purchase the dark grey herringbone suit.

Will there be more suits in middle and light colors?

Got my dark gray VBC flannel suit today. Bad ass. Will post pics once the trou come back from the tailor.

Can someone explain the sizing for Howard Yount? Why does U.S. 28 pants have a 30 inch waist?

No need to apologise. The classic flannel is our standard fabric. It's a nice sturdy one, not too heavy, not too thin, soft but not the softest. It's a very nice fabric and we stock (and sell) a lot of it. I consider both of the VBC fabrics premium fabrics. They are excellent quality, but are considerably more expensive. The super 100s is thick and spongy, soft and has great color. The super 120s is thinner, sleeker, less spongy, and very soft. It's a truly luxurious fabric.

They are all made to Italian sizes; they don't correspond perfectly to US sizes and that is why we list the Italian first.

You won't be disappointed. I like those an awful lot. There will be no other suits or jackets this fall. We'll have new items in February or March for spring/summer.

Damn. That's a shame. If you still had the light grey VBC flannel in a 36/30 I'd jump on that immediately. Ah well.

Overall I am very pleased with this suit! I have a really hard-to-fit body shape and this is excellent for OTR. The fabric is amazing and the construction is excellent.

My only complaint is that there needs to be a greater drop between jacket size and pant size. There's no way someone with a 38 inch waist could wear this jacket.

I may be a bit late to the party here, but I only just noticed that Howard Yount has not only started stocking size 28 trousers, but also size 34 suits!

Chorse, you are officially the man

A plug for the sweaters. Received mine last week and was more than pleased.
