This is what I would consider a very "timely" item. I doubt that I've ever offered anything that was more appropriate for the times. As many of you know I have a rather sizeable shirt collection, most of which would be considered "high-end" (with well over 600 shirts I think it's fair to call it "sizeable"). My selection of shirts is diversified, with many different labels, some famous, some not-so-famous. One thing that most of them have in common is that they are unusual, if not unique. Of all the different brands I do have my favorites, and in recent years my collection of Robert Graham's has rapidly overtaken other well-known names in my collection and moved into 2nd place (Versace is still the #1 brand. Although my tastes have changed and I haven't purchased any of their shirts in years, after 15 non-stop years of buying Versace on a very regular basis, I ended up ownng a heck of a lot... and at this point Versace will more than likely, always remain my largest, single group of shirts). As you can guess, I've always enjoyed/preferred clothes that are "fun" or "dramatic"...and ever since their inception I have been a big fan of the Robert Graham line of sport shirts. That doesn't mean I love all RG shirts. As with any label, they've had their share of ill conceived concepts that might have looked good on paper but not in execution...and I've certainly seen more than a few things from them that were downright horrendous! I think that anyone would agree that many of the RG's are simply way too over-the-top. But when they do get it right, there are few brands that can do 'em as well as Robert Graham (IMHO...when it comes to great sport shirts I personally rank RG up there with Etro and Paul Smith). And with all that in mind, I think that the shirt I've listed here is one of those great RG's, that's very well done, and a combo of color and pattern that most guys will find relatively easy to wear. Sorta what you might call "Corporate with a Twist!"
Now that I'm done with my "spiel"... Here's the shirt: Light blue and white woven cotton featuring a "bags of money" pattern (with a contrasting dark navy blue and white, silk ribbon detail that runs under the front placket...revealed when the collar is worn open). The inside of the cuffs and collar are done in a contrasting light blue and white, mini-check design. Inside the collar they've embroidered a caricature of a man carrying bags of money as he passes a street sign that reads "Wall Street." Size: Large Shoulder-to-shoulder: 20.25" Armpit-to-armpit: 24.5" Sleeve (Shoulder seam to edge of cuff): 25" Overall length: 34.5" My Price: $139 Shipped ConUS (Contact me for shipping outside the ConUS) Moved to ebay: Robert Graham "Money Shirt"
