I'm not a big fast food fan, but jesus christ, these goddamn steak burgers. So good. They are always piping hot when you get them at the drive through. The lettuce, the onions, the tomatoes, and it's ferocious freshness make my mouth water. It's not a bad burger for fast food.

I won't forget the first day I had one sober. I think I've had them two different occasions after a couple nights out boozing, who can remember the actual taste. I picked one up on my lunch, and gorged myself on it while parked in a parking lot. If someone had walked by they would have heard the soft moans as I shoveled it into my gaping moth. I went back the next 3 days.

I spent many nights at the 24hr Steak & Shake place on 75 in Atlanta. One of the best as far as diners go.

We have not Steak n' Shake within 2 hours of where I live now. Everytime we travel, my wife just understands that we will be stopping at any and every Steak n' Shake we pass, just so I can get my steakburger fix.

When I was in college in Philly, one of my favorite parts of the trips back home to Florida was knowing that I could go to Sn'S anytime I wanted.

HEY! That's "my" Stake n Shake!

SnS is good, but sometimes the service can be ridiculously slow.

Is it better than Five Guys? The mere concept seems better to me.

The best thing about Steak and Shake is that they've stopped airing quite as many of their awful, awful commercials.

I'm not that big of a fan. It's fine when i'm drunk though. I have one within a half mile of my house. An easy drunk walk. The burgers are better than other fast food burgers, but still nothing to write home about. Their milkshakes are way too expensive (like $4?). The 4 meals for $4 is nice though.

+1 The most overlooked and underrated part of their menu. Sheer hedonistic indulgence.
