On a related note, is Koto a cheaper brand made for urban outfitters by Kato? Seems a little odd that two different americana crews would have such similar names.

I hate being a dork and quoting myself, but if you missed my post (and aren't just ignoring me, which is cool too haha) AndrewRyanWallace I'd love to know your size and the size koto jacket you got. You've had some really solid fits lately.

Also usually I hate that buzz rickson sweatshirt but for some reason I think it looks really good on you in that picture xchen. The whole ensemble is great, except I don't like it with the peacoat. I like wallet chains too

I wish the "thrift store hipsters" I knew dressed that well instead of wearing shit like buffalo check shirts combined with dumb hats and neon wayfarers and having their whole ensembles be a mismash of crap that doesn't mesh at all but is "kooky". Nice people though

Oh, sorry about that, haha! Thanks a lot, I'm wearing a size small (I would consider myself a true small), and I'm actually between a 36 and a 38, though I can usually swing either depending on the cut; I don't know my actual measurements though, sorry. ahjota, those captoes are indeed TBC. Kopped at Oak a few weeks ago for seventy bucks. Barims, wow what a compliment! Thank you man.

No h8, this is fact. Extremely punchable.

I suppose it's better than looking like you are pretending to be a homeless post-apocalyptic ninja while shopping at whole foods.

Or maybe not.

Umm first of all it's Trader Joes.

Second of all...actually that's pretty accurate.

EGD, awesome photo; good fit too. Does your friend post on SF/sufu as well? He's pretty steezy.

ARW, that fit with the Koto jacket was great. Barims' comment about it being an awesome affordably-priced take on Junya Wantabe runway looks is spot on.

xchen, I like the sweatshirt and I totally understand where you're coming from in trying to stay true to the roots of the workwear look. However, please swap out your current beaded feather wallet chain for a plain leather one. It would look quite a bit less contrived.

Panster, awesome. My only gripe about your fits is its being mostly off-white, with its darkest shade in the shoes. Somehow, that makes it seem unbalanced. I feel like a dark tie, a shirt with bold stripes, a bit of visible belt, or even some cufflinks or a collar pin would balance things out more.

Anyway, I'm always astonished by how cleanly your clothes actually fit. The OCBD doesn't bunch under the sweater, the sweater and the pants meet perfectly, the pants hit the shoes perfectly, etc. The little bit of self-tailoring you do really goes a long way. Out of interest, do you ever alter your sweaters?

Xchen looks good in that pic. People talking trash should come up with something as well put together first. I don't really think he looks like a hipster. I think all the pieces work as intended and he definitely pulls that whole japanese amerikaji type thing well, while not looking too old. Everything in the fit is working as intended. souper- Either tuck that button down in or wear a shorter one or something. Not feeling the dick flap. pinky- You're breaking my balls with that fit, man. I don't think all outfits have to be exciting and a few of your fits the past month or so have been better but i dunno. The geriatric thing is taken a bit too far in this one for me.

I love every piece, and don't see the hate on classics. The way it was said screams jealousy to me. I could be off, but it was the sort of thing I would say.
Also... believe me if I could find those pieces at a thrift store I'd be all over that shit believe me.
