My bad homie.. That Dakota jacket actually looks very nice on you. I had to pay more for the one in navy because the black just didn't look right on me. To bad because it is objectively nicer, as you can see in your picture.

Yeah, the visible windowpane is a dark yellow with white surrounding it. You can't see it from far away but it has overlapping dark blue as well. Forgot to sew back the other button after I shortened the sleeves, guess I should do that when I get home.

God, that looks so delicious.

I'm trying something new for myself because I'm bored of my clothing lately. Any feedback (good or bad) would be greatly appreciated!

Its not that you're doing it wrong, its that the look forces a casual vibe in an impractical way. Its like leaving your boots unlaced, wearing a scarf with a t-shirt, intentionally disheveled hair, or flannel shorts with a winter weight sportcoat.

As for the pushed up sleeves, I agree that it looks forced, but I pushed them up because I'm not too keen on how the sleeves billow at my elbows. I also took a picture before with the sleeves down, maybe you can see what I mean.

with the slowly fading raw jeans, sockless, and tshirt, i think it was pretty casual enough and looked normal rolled up. Seems like it'd be cool to go to a bar or something like that. Much better than sleeves down normal. I've seen a short sleeve seersucker blazer a sufu guy wears occasionally similar to that and it's pretty fantastic.

Its hard to tell from that picture whether or not the sleeves are too big in proportion to the jacket. Either way, I like to see clothes/style done in a way that makes functional/common sense. If the boots have laces - do them up. If you're putting stuff in your hair - don't make it look intentionally messy. If its warm enough that you don't want fabric on your forearms - take your jacket off. I'll admit it though, I think its easier to do a "buttoned up" and clean look like I try for most days than it is to do a more nonchalant look as successfully. Basically its because people can tell when you're trying to look like you didn't give it any thought, when you obviously did.
