Phat Guido predictable and safe? Well, I guess it happens to the best of us.

i didn;t really have a problem with the post, it's just there is a de facto uniform here, just like any other fashion-like forum. i don;t think one should dress up for the camera-if it's what you wore it's what you wore.

Adamha looks great too. Not the biggest fan of the Purcell's but it works.

You know I almost wore my Clarks DB with that outfit and you popped into my head when I was considering it.

Then I thought nahhh and put on the purcells.

on one hand I agree with kunk that yea, its kind of boring to see really basic, similar fits over and over, but honestly its summer and not all of us live in new york where dressing like a drag queen is acceptable

1. **** your boat shoes. Wear something interesting like bucks with the brick sole or saddle shoes
2. Play with proportions, Slim and straight is not the only option, get some razor slim Dior looking joints or some fun, drapey Yohji.
3.Perfection is for pussies. Don't iron your stuff and wear it perfectly, let it get wrinkled, leave too many buttons unbuttoned cuff the sleeves haphazardly. Give it that beloved "sprezzatura"
4. Blue is boring. There are other acceptable Americana colors beyond light blue and khaki. Get some ******* madras or something.
5. Accessorize. Especially in summer this is the way to give your outfits character and personality. Carry a nice tote bag, wear a thin leather bracelet, necklace, hat, sunglasses etc.
6. Grooming. Grow some facial hair, dont comb your hair or you can have a have a perfectly trimmed beard and severe brylcreem side part. Just do something interesting and distinctive.

Look at Junya's most recent runway shows for great ways to keep Americana from looking like a ******* middle management creep.

Excellent advice, it's just a shame you referenced some one who happens to dress much better than many other SF members attempting to integrate themselves into the world of style and fashion.

Wow not what I thought you'd look like, whatever that means. Looks good, though.
