Pull on suit, anything to be done?

I have the tiniest of pulls on the back of one of my suits. If I didn't know better I would think it was just pilling like we see on a sweater. It is so small that I can't even make out a loop from the thread. Is there anything that can be done about this? Is there anything that needs to be done about this? Can a tailor perform the repair or what would be involved? Thanks.

Can you email me a picture of it?

I would but I don't have a digital camera, or even a regular camera for that matter. It is very, very small, and appears to be a ball connected by a single thread.

If there is no visible pulls around it, snip it. If it looks like a loop of thread and the fabric is 'bunched' around it you can push it back through with a needle.

I have to take the trousers in for a very slight alteration, do you suppose the best thing to do would be to just leave it for the tailor?

Yup - When in doubt, let an expert do it. ...I learned that lesson the day I earned the nickname 'sparky' and decided to call an electrician the next time I wanted to rewire something. Side note: Eyebrows grow back.... slowly.
