Does anyone care to weigh in on the quality and value (at this price) of the suit linked to below? Thanks. Mid grey striped Zegna suit

Hard to say what the retail is without knowing the fabric. It's going to run between $1700 and $2400, and in that cut in that particular fabric color/pattern I think $500 is a very good deal.

I picked up an Oxxford sport coat from the seller. Fine transaction. On a side note, I found the reference to "faux functiuonal buttons" amusing. Possibly, non-functioning buttons might have been better?

Age appropriate for someone in their early twenties?
You'll be wearing a white coat for 40 years after you graduate, so get the sweet Italian suit now

Age appropriate? Yes, of course. This might be a tropical wool fabric; you might want to ask. Not a good fabric for year round wear (too light). Also, some Zegna pants are very tapered, which you may want to ask about as well.

I'd be up for a tropical wool, as I'll be in LA next year. Also, the Zegna pants that I have are pretty tapered and I love them. Thanks for all of your advice. Also, in case my eyes are deceiving me, this looks like a mid-grey w/ stripe not a charcoal w/ stripe right?

Doesn't look like it has a stripe at all. Looks like a subtle prince of wales weave.

I was looking at the pants, and the pants look to definitely have a stripe, but I could be out of my mind.

HS, Just a heads up, but no one except for entertainment lawyers wears suits in LA. Even the financial people are by and large business casual. And everyone else is casual casual. I know I'm biased, but ask pretty much anyone else on the board in the LA area, and I'm sure the answers will be theme and variation.

I've bought Oxxford items from this seller - all positive experiences.

I think you're right, my monitor made it look like a stripe. How does a Prince of Wales weave differ from a glen plaid?

Not much -- just the fashion in which the lines intersect. My first good suit resembled the Zegna you are showing. I liked it a lot.

Hopkins - I know the seller quite well. Brian is your kind of people and he's honest and a nice guy. I've been to his place and he has good stuff. And if the ad format looks vaguely familiar that's okay, he bought and paid for the consulting from another seller, lol If you have questions on it give him a call and say Chuck told you that he'd take good care of you.

Does that look like a long to anyone else?
