I was fortunate enough to sit next to George Clooney last night, in front of Bloomies at the south coast plaza when i was waiting for my wife. We chatted on and off about basketball and a few other things. I couldn't find a smooth transition point to ask him about his slim cut black suit, but I did manage to squeeze off a picture of his shoes.

One exchange: George: What's your name? Me: Brian... George: Hey, Brian, wtf you in my lap for?

I can actually imagine Clooney saying that too, if you were sitting too close. And then laughing.

In all seriousness an old friend had dinner with him and some others one night at his place and she reports he was a genuinely nice guy.
