I find many nyc restaurants intoleralbe as far as people, noise and cramped seating goes. Ditto those miserable sidewalk setups (+ traffic, street noise, crowds, etc.) But I'm fairly misanthropic to begin with. We do eat outside a fair bit in the warmer months, and it is quite enjoyable. But you need shadeand lightbreezes....

I love eating outside here because in Texas it's too damn hot. Here in MD I enjoy it for much of spring summer and fall.

I love eating outside, on a summer terrace of a cafe/restaurant or in our garden. I think it is really enjoyable.
Never had problems with wild animals.
