~The "my gel was drying and I walked into a wall" look (basically all of the hair combed forward and then at the front of the face it goes straight up)
i haven't seen this look in a long time. i think it died when ricky martin changed his hairstyle. and i agree that all the hip hop urban wear crap, as ridiculous as it looks to us now, will begin to look ridiculous to everyone else very soon. after all, p-diddy's over it, right?
I call that the "cliff". My friend calls it "coupe Tin Tin". What's pre distressed jeans?

haha that tin tin comment just made me laugh real hard i agree with the distressed jeans, but i think the whole fake-prep , fratboy look (ie. AE or A&F) will be laughable in a few years

Agree with everything said so far. Although it isn't that popular yet, blazers and jeans screened/patched with some sort of gaudy graphic.
Non-sensical graffiti and graphics on everything, and raw seams on everything, too. The first guy ever to do it was probably pretty cool, but everyone else... My favorite tragic look of the moment - jeans or cargo pants (with graffiti), short-sleeved t-shirt (with graffiti), and sleeveless hooded sweatshirt (with, surprise surprise, graffiti). Add a trucker cap, and make everything pastel, and you've got it. Especially funny if they're travelling in packs. They look like a street gang from some kind of 1980s future.

Well boppers, it's up to the Pastels to bring it to Coney Island and back tonight. Warriors... come out to PLAYEEAYYYY.... Personally, I think that hoodies are too ubiquitous now, and the mid-30s slacker look with a hoodie (always open, possibly too small to close) over a graphic t-shirt, with some cargoish pants, and maybe a backwards hat, needs to die as well.

...anything ryan seacrest wears.

"faux" tailoring (exaggerated stitching, pockets, buttons, etc) flashy shirting (bias patterns, variegated stripes, etc) jeans with excessive "whiskers" or "crinkles" sneaker/dress shoe hybrids

Sneakers with soles so low they look like ballet slippers fit in this category too, they look stupid but not that memorable.
Oh man... I hate that look. I NEVER even considered wearing that crap. That look reminds me of the lower class Italian kids in Florence when I lived there two years ago.

Good list so far. I might add...just about anything with the words Steve Madden or Sketchers on it.

I'd add jackets where the gorge is practically on top of the shoulder. The balance on suits is getting so high it will eventually look a bit ridiculous.

bowling type shoes/sneakers short sleeve buttondowns with some antique like printing/logo

I agree with every one of these points. Especially the first and last. The faux pickstitching on lapels of cheap jackets is especially appalling.

That would most likely be Dirk Schonberger, who's designs seemed sort of outlandish at the time, but pall in comparison to some of the wierdness out there. Fok.

Again, what are pre distressed jeans? Aren't distressed jeans cool?
