Circuit routines? Mixing cardio and weights?

Can anyone provide insight into how to build circuit routines? A trainer recently put me through a grueling mix of dumbbells and steps, squats, lunges, and spinning. I'd like to create a couple of different circuits for myself. Any suggestions for a 45 minute total body workout? Ultimately I'm trying to maximize my time in the gym.

you could mix in some dumbell thrusters, pullups and dips, snatches, clean and jerks, overhead squats and farmers walks. All are pretty grueling exercises that you can toss into a circuit for some painful fun.
