^^ Charity bin.

More MW horror:

Navy ventless number with silver buttons, a size too large.

PLUS

Tan shirt that literally turned pink around the collar from normal wear.

The people that work there seriously have little to no knowledge. It's like buying a serious audio system from the kid at Best Buy. They should be ashamed for taking advantage of people.

Btw, what do you people do with all your old pre-SF regrettable purchases?

I sacrifice them to the Goodwill gods in hopes that at a later date I find something of quality there.

Nunn Bush and Aldo shoes.

Somehow I managed to buy a bloody size 16 dress shirt. My MTM shirts have a collar that is slightly over 14 inches. And I haven't shrunk either; I looked at my old pictures and cringed.

I also bought as my first ever suit a black suit from Burton. Pretty cheap at least and is, sadly, getting some use at a couple of funerals.

The week before I stumbled upon SF I took delivery of a smart black suit I had made in London. The guy even tried to talk me out of it but I was adamant I wanted a black suit...! Bugger.

Some of the responses that I have read a pretty entertaining. I to owned some keneth cole dress shoes, but this was when I was 17 and in high school, so I'm not too upset about it anymore after all these years. My taste has improved with age, as I hope it has for many others.

I kinda like my levi jeans

Then again, I used to work outside and jeans were required.

Me too to some extent. Looking at a few of the car crashes in WAYWRN that get jizzed over provides a daily chuckle for me.

I never said Levi's jeans are bad, but I had like 5 pairs or so. This was before I decided to buy raw denim, and now I only wear one pair of jeans.

What about post SF regrettable purchases?
I've had a few bargains which included buyers remorse
in the deep discount.

- Chalk one more casualty to the oversized black suit list. I blame James Bond. - Add me also as a victim to square-toe herd mentality. Even worse, they were black square toe derbies. - By far my worst: 3 piece linen suit....sky blue no less. What's even more embarrassing is that I went to job fairs and interviews looking like this. I don't even want to think how many opportunities I lost. Non-regrets that are against SF groupthink: - 2 Hugo Boss sports coats. I wear these all the time and never worry about messing them up since I purchased them as casual sports coats. They're still my favorite even though I have RLPLs and Isaias now.

Black square toed Guess boots. BR shirts. Ill fitting Ben Sherman wool pants. Nothing wrong with the pants, they just don't fit and were not tailored properly. HB suit, just because I feel I overpaid.

Don't regret....KC bergundy shoes (not square toed). I actually get more compliments on them than better shoes, although they should fall apart shortly. Black Zegna suit. Cut perfectly, I try to find ways to wear it.
