The show has definitely grown since it started. I remember he was really hitting the mark in andy richter's last 2 years, then he had about a year after andy left where he was still figuring stuff out again, but then he really hit his stride a year or two after andy left carrying him to all the fame he has now.

you both. The band has been on a 7-8 month hiatus first of all, second they are friends with Conan and fans of the show. It was a solid heartfelt performance

Robbie- Did you actually watch the show? I don't mind most white stripes songs, but there was no excuse for that. They weren't even trying to play in tune with eachother. It was beyond awful. Watch that performance before you start defending it

I watched it. I am biased. I honestly thought/feared Jack and Meg might not play live again. The fact that they played together, on TV is a big deal. Meg was willing to perform again which is a good thing. If they can continue to perform these smaller gigs and get back into a sort of routine than they might be able to record/tour. This was not a Reading Festival performance, or the energy of their set at Bonnaroo... but it was the White Stripes, and it was decent.

Seriously though? They were both out of tune, meg can't play guitar or sing. Harmonies were bad, guitar synching was bad, timing was off, and delivery wasn't even very good. I think we just need to call a spade a spade, regardless how much we like their past work
