Also, Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui is a massive, masculine cologne. I've got a bottle from the early 80's, but I think there has been a reformulation since then.
Diptyque's Tam Dao cologne is full of sandlewood, amber, and ambergris, which makes it (to me) a classic masculine scent.
But, of all the ones mentioned, the granddaddy of them all is Bay Rum. If you want to wear the scent of millions of men that have lived and died before you came along, then this is it.
