Other than museums, what do you recommend to do in DC for two nights?

Any suggestions welcome.

If anybody knows if it's possible to go on a tour of the Capital, please let me know.

Check out Georgetown

The National Cathedral is incredible, especially since it's entirely privately financed.

Walk the Mall, but you should do it before sunset.

Yes but I think you have to arrange it through a senator or rep's office.

BTW, it's very overrated.

Unless you want to observe the local douche population with their pink polos with popped collars, I don't see much of a good reason to visit Georgetown. Good for restaurants, pricey houses to look at, but not much else.

The intern who gave me my tour was bloody gorgeous. And watching a Senate vote on war funding was neat.

I agree. Other than visiting Sky Valet, I tend to pass on visiting Georgetown when I'm in DC.

It's almost impossible to get hired on the Hill if you're ugly. When you see an unattractive staffer, assume he/she's utterly brilliant as his/her job.

You were lucky you got to tour during a vote.

I hate that damn place. Rather go to Inner harbor in Baltimore.
