His observations, as always, are spot on.

I haven't listened to it yet, but today's has Dr. Drew on it. I'm sure that as he gets going he'll have more of the same old guests and co-hosts on at least as part of a part-time basis.

Listened to it today....it was really good. The story about him trying to sleep and his wife's cell phone going off is hilarious. Oh, and as a Mexican living in LA....I agree....there are WAY too many Mexicans in LA. Adam would be AMAZING as a talk personality on satellite radio. Like Howard, the cussing really frees him up to be himself.

Is this true?
why would an LA station hire a conteverisal, unpopualr fahion desinger to re-do their formating?

Either way it was inevitable, terrestial radio is puncnhless the signal-to-noisde ratio was too high, podcats are the future, I'm sure Carolla (a damn funny fellow) knows this.

fuck ipods, and pod-casts

I really wish people would stop embracing them, so that I could have the huge Radio/Hi-Fi/TV unit in my first home. TV has to be all stupid and digital now, and everyone loves these damn mp3 players...

I want a TV/STEREO that takes up a large portion of my living room like a credenza, not some piece of plastic the same size as the salmon my grandma eats while playing bingo at her nursing home.

Radio is an advertising vehicle, I realize this... so people are gonna play what sells ads, I just wish people had better taste .

You can play a podcast on anything that plays MP3s. If you really wanted to you could get an MP3 player with an FM transmitter and listen to podcasts through an FM tuner that way. Make sure you get an adjustable FM transmitter so that you can set it to a frequency that has lots of interference so that you can mimic low quality FM reception.
