This is great. Someone actually thinking it through. Quoted for truth.

Word.

It seems that the biggest difficulty is realizing that not everyone needs nor wants to follow "the rules." The man has cultivated a personal style (more than can be said for most people), he looks different from most other folks, and he's not afraid of that - just like most of the people here.

What's with the hate?

Sure some of his outfits may be a little much, but some of them are brilliant IMO. He is more knowledgeable and dresses better than 99.9% of the people out there and he has my sartorial respect.

His outfits are kind of like louder versions of my dad's fits, which is kind of the direction I'm heading in at the moment. He's an undoubtedly stylish and knowledgeable man, very carefree in the way he puts his looks together scruff's post is on point

Easily one of the best dressed people in show business. I can think of one or two SF'ers who dress about as well as him, I haven't seen anyone who can say they're head and shoulder above him.

Too late. I did it first. --- This thread just gave me an epiphany - SF'ers are judgemental of the way ALL non-SF'ers are dressed, even when they're better dressed

I just saw his show for the first time tonight and he does indeed look very well turned out. I can't say the same for his contestants especially the ones with the facial tattoos and lack of teeth.

Heh - could well be true, certainly flows from teddieriley's observation that some posters here become conformists in the process of seeking sartorial validation. Groupthink on an internet forum - who'da thunk? I certainly wouldn't be the first guy here to say there are few SF'ers I'd like to see on a major best dressed list, and fewer than that ahead of Fonzworth

I have no problem with the way Fonzworth dresses. As far as trying to hard, i think many people on this forum try to hard to follow the group think; herding mentality that exists on here.

Great coat

The man almost invariably looks fucking tremendous.

Look: it's his business to stand out. If he didn't carry the umbrella or wear bright colors sometimes, it would have the same effect on his career that carrying the umbrella and wearing those colors would have on the careers of all the lawyers and accountants who post here. His dress is *completely* appropriate, and he looks fantastic.
