You've missed the point completely. I've had several independent companies do their best to make things right when it is clearly as construction issue or for that matter a request like alterations (Rag & Bone, Raleigh, EG). Granted, none of them were as large an oversight as flawed material/fabric. The problem I have with Simon Miller is the lack of professionalism and dismissive tone of the last email. I'm not looking for handouts, or a replacement, just an acknowledgement and acceptance that its THEIR problem as much as it is mine. I'll admit, at the very least I wanted them to pay for the repairs. However, Matty OFFERED to replace the jeans and then reneged on that offer by using words like "cooler" to assuage the situation. That's bullshit, pure and simple. I may have gotten the gender wrong, but I still stand by my use of the word "bitch"-- it still fits within the context of my frustration. Your logic doesn't follow. Just because your boyfriend's jeans are "high quality" and from Japan doesn't mean the particular batch of denim can't be flawed. Buyers can buy bad fabric. It can (and clearly did) happen in this case. I'm not saying all the other pairs from this batch are also bad, but as it's been voiced here, at least two pairs of the same model jeans had the same problem. Additionally, I never said "ALL Simon Miller jeans are terrible"-- I said this pair and the circumstances which followed were problematic and upsetting.
