Contest Time Again

Ok fellas. As my website launch draws near I am thinking of having a contest to draw people to my site.
I have a check your style section which plays back to my check his/her style from my blog.
People who buy stuff from me or people with good style can post their look on my site.
There will be a contest in that...porbably on a monthly basis.

Now the contest is who can think up the best contest for my website launch. The site should be up in a couple weeks or I will go postal.
who ever thinks up the best contest will win a prize. Let's say a farinelli's gift certificate worth 300.00

Best fit that includes an item bought from farinelli's. This will have someone buy from you just to enter the contest! All store workers/owners will vote on the winner.

^Though the notion of attracting new customers through a contest rather than existing ones sort of precludes that.

Good fit contests are the ones that allow everyone to access them, ie everyone is capable of meeting the requirements... the use of green contest on here was a good example. The concept doesn't have to be groundbreaking to get cool results, and in fact the less specific it is the more broad-range and therefore probably more interesting the submissions you'll get.

i like constant struggle's idea.. but how about a fit pic contest of just the brands that are carried by farinelli and not specifically a purchase made from the store the pictures could even be added to a part of the site "how its worn" or something i think more people could join that way i'm pretty sure everyone here owns something from at least one of the brands

I've come up with an idea:

Instead of a contest rewarding the best-dressed person, how about doing something a bit different? What about a contest where people post their near-best fit but include which article of clothing carried by Farinelli's is missing that would best complete their look. Something like, "EG shirt, Nudie jeans, and Cons. I think if I had the brown BoO blazer that Mauro's selling, this look would be complete." People could then vote for the fit that has the best chance of improving because of a Farinelli product. The winner would get a certificate for $xxx towards the purchase of the garment that they wanted.

It would get people to check out the site, it would get people to want to know more about your inventory, and hell, you might even make a buck or two in the process.

Contest: If the point of the contest is to attract new customers then: "A please help me with my style fit pic contest" Monthly winner would be the most stylishy deprived/poor fit picture.

In which case, employees/Mauro can also suggest pieces/brands the winner might like/fit based on the picture, and it also goes in hand with all the "Please help me/do these fit?" threads that have been popping up.

Ok.
I am getting a good amount of Pm's and posts. i will give this thread til the end of the month.
Then we will make a poll of all the ideas and vote with ME having final say. that way its a group thing.
The winner gets a gift certificate to my store for $300.00 and then when the contest is launched I will give out other prizes to the winner.
