But that's enough of my opinion - don't want to crap on Shore's thread.

Not that i approve of performance enhancing illegal things.... but baseball was cooler when people were smashing 60+ home runs every year. Just my opinion.

This is not a troll post... btw

I just really enjoyed watching Jose Canseco, Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Brady Anderson (for one year), etc.. Maybe ingorance is bliss?

Believe me I do. I'm also going to stay away from Chavez Ravine.

Classic example with what is wrong with modern day baseball. This juiced-up douche hit 50 HRs in one year, Dave Parker never hit more than 34 in a season.

Inspired by the Nati thread...my Reds will once again flirt with .500 for at least a month or two, which is all we really ask.

Edit: that was kind of a threadjack; steroids don't bother me one bit. Hell, I wish Griffey had juiced so we didn't have to suffer through so many seasons of him riding the pine for 50-60 games.

salary cap anyone? i'm one for a salary cap. i also wish ticket prices would drop.

the NL west has two frontrunners in the dbacks and dodgers, with my giants playing spoiler. gotta love the pitching staff but wtf, we haven't had an offense in ages, even when bonds was around. we also cannot commit to our youths - they're never given a chance because management loves splurging on old/broken down players with little upside.

Lindstrom replaces Gregg, the rotation is healthy from day 1, and there are two or three bats (Maybin, G. Sanchez, McPherson) they can call up or start at any time. No, I disagree. They won't fight for the division, but they'll be a tough team that finishes in 3rd. Anyway, I won't make sweeping predictions but I'm going to say: (1) Oakland will be competitive and they might even win the West, (2) Twins will take the AL Central, (3) Yanks will return to form and win the East. The NL is boring, we all assume it's some combination of Mets/Phillies/Cubs/Dodgers, with maybe the D'backs replacing someone. perusing, I really like the Giants rotation. Lincecum, Big Unit, Cain, Sanchez, Lowry? Imagine if Zito decided to resurrect his career!

I really thought Barry Zito was going to be the next guy to get 300 wins. I mean 3 years in he had already close to 50 wins.

Another sad year ahead for me.

White Sox have a really superb pitching prospect for this year. Aaron Poreda

In my opinion, probably the best rookie starter for this year (other than David Price).

Yeah, that part is really exciting.

Sadly, it's one of the few exciting things about the sox this season.

On the upside, I live in Wrigleyville. While I hate the Cubs, when the cubs are playing well, this is the best place to live.

Alexei Ramirez (i think that is that rookie from last years name.. he is good) and Carlos Quentin are also very promising.

White Sox have a nice hitters park... so at least they put on a good show.
