I usually make a couple a couple of visits. If you want to go for the designer stuff--i.e., Prada, Marc Jacobs, etc, best bet is to go on the first day. That stuff sells out fast. But if you're looking for Barney's Private Label Stuff, suits, dress shirts, ties, there's plenty of that towards the end when they slash the prices further. Shoes can be hit or miss in terms of selection--depends on your shoe size. One year, I had a lot of good luck and bought 3 Jil Sander items (before Prada bought out Jil Sander) and 3 pairs of A. Testoni shoes (my favorite brand of shoes.) Other years, I haven't bought too much. But I always check it out. If you want to go together, send me an email, and maybe we can get together.
