+2. And a gentle reminder that this thread isn't a platform for posting ties youre trying to flog on B&S, that's what the B&S forum is for. Not singling anyone out but looking through the thread there's quite a theme of it happening.

And just because it's gone off the rails, doesn't mean it has to stay off the rails.

I'd forgotten how much members enjoy genteel fetishism and rule mongering in favor of content.

This thread has been much more about sharing interesting/classic ties than a literal interpretation of soporific. And even the ties that are the most sedate/monochromatic have often been from upper-tier makers, with details that are hardly boring: 10-fold, hand-sewn, unlined, shauntaung, etc.

I don't see a problem if they contribute to the thread without direct mentions/links. Some of the sellers - including myself - enjoy taking pictures of items (often intermixed with personal items) and I haven't seen any here that are offensive in linking to items.

And are you serious?

well I wont get in to an argument about that but the rules of classifieds and indeed the forum are pretty clear with that.

As for me, I am not a b&s seller. im a business and a forum affiliate ie paying advertiser. I pay quite a lot of money for a business of my size every month for that privelege, as do all the other affiliates. And even then, I still only put ties up here that qualify as soporific very rarely.

Agreed. My posts are tongue-in-cheek in case they aren't read as such (except about CW - I do think he is a whiny baby).

And to those who asked - sorry I'm late but most of the ties are EGC. If you have any questions or would like to see any more pictures let me know.
