The closest to the Doors IMO are the Music Machine, and Love. Both bands predated the Doors. Both Sean Bonniwell and Arthur Lee had that deep voice, and the sound of both bands had also that dark mixture of early psych and rock'n'roll. Check Beyond Garage by Music Machine, and the eponymous album by Love.
Now, as for Vox Continental, the Animals used to play with that.

+1
Seriously, get them. You'll be amazed.

I would like to have a real Rhodes stage.
And you?
Rhodes is pure magic. At the studio we're rehearsing at there is one. Occasionally our keyboard player plays with it. Great for bossa nova, soulful, etc
Have you checked Clavia's Nord Electro? OK, it's digital emulation, but through the right setup it sounds amazing. It has Hammond, Rhodes, Wurlitzer and piano emulations. Piano sucks, but the rest are amazing. There is also Clavia C1, with dual manual, modeling Hammond, Vox Continental and Farfisa Compact Deluxe. And that sounds amazing.
