Melbourne restaurants recommendations

Im taking the 'hugs-n-kisses' out for her birthday next weekend but I've got to bring the mother-in-law and the kids (ages 3 & 5) as well.

Can any Melbournians recommend a nice classy restaurant that will facilitate the kids and our needs? Anywhere from the inner city to the south/south east of Melbourne.

How about downstairs at The Point at Albert Park lake. Good for kids, as they can play outside.

When you say your mother in law is aged 3, I take it you are referring to her mental age

Sounds good... I had heard good things about The Point and hadn't got there yet. Thanks for the tip.

Not too many kids are quiet and invisible at 3 & 5 however if we throw them outside at The Point, then at least we can't hear them

Sounds win, win and win if the mother-in-law is not a strong swimmer.

Does The Age - Good Food Guide still get published? A great investment if so.
