I've just seen some new lasted shoes from C&J (regular line) and Cheany... they are incredibly chiselled.. The nose and last looks like the Vass U.

What's the quality (and price) like on the Cheany?

Here in the Netherlands, they were priced at about Euro 340-320. The Cheany's had a red lining and inner sock. I'll try to get the last numbers of the new C&J... really looked chiselled.

Did they look like these? They are some new C&J Paris handgrades. Their website mentions a new last for Spring/ Summer 2005, the 348, which is more "long and subtly square". I have no idea what last these handgrades are made on. The website doesn't list it.

I believe most of those Handgrades are on the 337 last. The newest C&J catalog has some of them.

That is what I thought. The black wholecut, the double monk, and the plain wingtip all look very 337 to me. The boots are the only ones that look "longer and subtly square".

No, those are not it. I am quite familiar with the 337 last, and these new shoes are not from the Handgrade collection.
