Mis-read the post, thought you were asking. Didn't hear about that decision, but I like it.

what was up with the pocket sweater being $38? I think it must've been a pricing error with the short sleeve next to it, but I snagged one. They're still like $200 on Ervell's site.

For all the inflated retail prices on Gilt, the joke's on them now. Anyways, some jeans from SS10 were made in USA as well. Also every item on the Tres Bien website shows that it's made in USA (except for the alpaca sweaters which are made in Peru). With the shift in production back to US, does this mean South Willard will re-carry the line now?

Still haven't heard back from them... I guess I'll have to wait for the fall line to hit his own website, and with half of september already gone that should be soon right?

SS11

Not that cohesive overall in terms of colour etc. The pants look nice though, as always.

Does that purple and blue striped shirt have a button down club collar?

Has anyone handled the field coat in person? I'm looking for some opinions on it since I think that it looked more impressive in the runway photos than what I've seen in pictures from various online stores.

Has Ervell gone soft in the general consciousness? His understanding of color is still second to none, but I have felt less 'oomph' in this year's collections. Or is this because the crop of items that mostly make the rounds here for the love-fest are things like basic sweaters (pocket sweater, etc.)?

It seems that a lot of the excellent outerwear seldom makes it outside of the runway.

Also it seems hard to believe, but apparently he was responsible for this:

Stores need to stop ordering the same four lame pieces every year. Of course people are bound to get bored after a while.

I haven't been feeling the latest collections that much, I liked Fall 10 runway but I'm a bit underwhelmed now that it has hit the stores, I dunno. I don't want to lapse into the "it was better before" whinefest, sure he finally got rid of the air jackets etc but still... I guess I'm just sad I missed older collections since I didn't care at the time.
