Council is necessary: what to choose? Crockett and Jones - Selborne or Edgeware? - Page 3

IMO, that is a beautiful and well-balanced shoe.

I just wish the medallion was a little different.

Lovely burnishing, but I still prefer the edgeware.

I've never even seen these in person before but after hours of site searching, I've come to realize that the Selbournes are almost exactly what I want in a shoe. If I can't find them to try on somewhere locally here in Los Angeles tomorrow, I'm going to just go ahead and order them online straight from England. I have a couple questions though. My understanding is that the 358 last is still a pretty sleek/slim shoe and every picture except the ones above show them to not have any boxiness in the tip of the toe. Am I wrong here because in the pics that the guy posted of his new selbournes, they look to have the slightest angle to them at the toes to give them a boxier look. Anyhow, do they fit pretty true to size? I wear a US 12 in just about everything from my dress shoes to my snowboard boots and everything in between. Do I just order the UK 11 size then? (I believe this is the equivalent of the US 12......please correct me if I'm wrong. I'd love to get these shoes on my feet asap!

While more chances has nevertheless Selborne....

huh? so are you saying the handgrade line is not worth the extra money over the benchgrade line? or not?
