Some Southeast Asian Paintings I found (pics)

These paintings were all my great uncles. Most were painted in Thailand, Cambodia or Vietnam in the late 60's or mid 70's. They have been in my grandfathers basement forever. I've just taken them out and I am going to have them appraised next week. I've taken the following paintings to put in my condo and I wanted to get some opinions from those who are well versed in art, because I know little or nothing about it. One of the paintings (not pictured) was appraised at $15-20,000 a few years back. I do not believe all of them are nearly that valuable, but I'm hoping some are worth selling and I plan on keeping the following for my place...

I'm in the process of getting it appraised/framed right now. I actually only decided to keep 3 for my place, that being one of them. The others really don't fit well with my place (too museumish). I will let you know if and when the appraiser is able to give me a value, should be in the next couple of weeks.

I was just messing around with you man. I like it, but I'm not a big painting-hanger-person.

Make sure the appraiser is well-versed in Asian art and can justify their appraisals. If you really want to be sure of the value I would recommend to have a second appraisal done.

You should send a PM to Lucky Strike to try to get his opinion.

The appraiser specializes in international art, but in my opinion I'd have to try and sell them in New York or California to get close to their full value. I like numbers 1, 3 and 5. Those are the three I decided to keep for my place. They have value to me because of the family history, but I wouldn't mind making a buck off the ones I don't want to keep- there are about 28 more that aren't pictured.

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure #5 is by a Filipino artist.

^ probably. the carriage, or "calesa" design is definitely Philippine inspired. the last painting I believe is Vietnamese... I've seen that series in a catalog from Singapore's Opera Gallery. I might be wrong but I think that can fetch a hefty sum if that came from the same artist.

It looks like one of the artists, Kid Kosolawat, sells for around $6,000-10,000.

Does the top work have a title? I'd call it Embrace. It is my favorite of the batch.

I have no idea of value but I like the one with the fish on the table.

The landscape ones look a bit like starving artist or art school paintings. I have no idea though.
