a question about jeans...

jeez, you guys seem to know every single model of every brand ever. the only jeans that fit me like i like are zegna jeans. i loathe all zegna items except these jeans, what jeans would fit me like this? i don't know how to describe, not loose, not tight just fit, what i consider, properly. the 3 pair i have are either 35 or 36 waist and about 35 inseam. also consider i don't like the fake distressing, just natural looking jeans, i get satisfaction out of having them 10 years and the distressing being all me.

Hmmm... Lance, you oldster. It looks like you prefer a clean wash (but not hipster raw), straight leg, slightly relaxed fit jean in a light to midweight, soft denim. I would go with Agave - probably *not* the drifter cut. Check out www.agavedenim.com, and phone them for their latest offerings. The jeans are also available online at www.atlasclothing.com (don't let the distressingly pumped up models turn you off) or www.rawclothing.com. They are pretty friendly at both stores. Pricepoints are pretty reasonable too. Normally, only the really relaxed cuts are found at Nordstroms, in the sportswear section (read - "what French Canadian retirees wear while driving the RV down to Florida, along with a Tommy Bahama shirt",) but some of their cuts and denim are quite good.

The first one, I think, is http://www.agavejean.com. Atlasclothing.com should work, I guess it's just down for a while. LA Guy, could you comment on the Agave "Stormrider" in the "La Jolla" finish? Fit, wash, does it come in a 28/29? Know anywhere I could get it cheap, wink wink?

For the record, and for any yuppies that say otherwise, they're wrong. La Jolla is a community of San Diego. It is not it's own city.

Yep. I talked to the designer, and he told me that the site is out of date, so some of the washes are obsolete, and there are new washes. But phone them, and they will try to locate a pair for you, help you find a stockist, or even sell them to you directly (this is of course not advertised) a little under retail.

More or less Although the beach (shores, as well as cove and seal beach) is so incredibly beautiful, and the Living Room there makes the best chai latte i've ever had.

actually, it was a test. i figure, if anyone, you'd get the Truman's Water reference. heh.heh. it was during my first year at UCSD that they were the darlings of indie rock. -Jeff
