Florence, Rome - Page 3

Do bear in mind that many of Flusser's recommended Italian shops in Italy appear to be shops selling the British look if not British clothing. Obviously this doesn't apply to Battistoni and the like, but there are many shops that didn't end up in his book. One that did is Ugolini in Florence, the glove shop. The other famous glovers in FLorence is MAdova. There is also a bespoke shoemaker in FLorence (I think) named Roberto Ugolini for whom Vass allegedly designed the U-last (for a RTW collection).

Gentlemen, the more I hear about Italy, the more I become convinced that I should go there a few more times. As a kid I used to love our family vacantions there. Now I am more and more impressed with the sights (above all) and the workmanship of Italian clothing and leatherwares.

And Stefano Bremmer, another bespoke shoe shop in Florence.

As our friend Kaga says, IMMSMC Daniel Day-Lewis did an apprenticeship with bespoke cobbler Stefano Bemer.

(Mr Checks @ April 18 2005,06:19) StyleS: are you saying that Rome is more beautiful than, say, Ypsilanti? As for me, I could never live someplace like; could never get any work done with all the stuff to look at.
It takes courage just to admit that you know where Ypsilanti is, let along discussing it in detail.
Scant months after marrying my mom, my dad took her form Florence to Hutchinson, Kansas. How she still stayed with him is a mystery I will never comprehend, heh. koji

The City of Ypsilanti provides two double trash removal periods each calendar year. This year our double trash removal will take place the week of April 25th - April 29th, and August 15th - August 19th for all City curbside eligible properties.

You tell him what colognes you currently wear and enjoy, what kind of scents you like, what occasions you intend to wear the cologne... Mr. Villoresi will craft a cologne for you based on the information you have given him, you get to sample several different combinations .... a heck of a lot of fun. Kai, did you try it yet?

A cautinary "note" about LV that while his fragrances are quite an acquired taste, many who will be in contact with you might not acquire that taste. Grayson

BTW does Battistoni have any special shoe styles or lasts for its Green shoes?

It depends on the person who choose the scent... if you choose correctly, many will enjoy the fragrance... choose wrongly....
