This could be true - my own photography is variable and often redeemed by backgrounds and context - though I usually take my inclusion to mean that Bill is more interested in the outfit, such as this week, where my specs look is in mild sepia and is clearly poorly lit and set

I rather liked reading Greg's dissection of PG's style. He nailed a lot of truths in it, I believe. There's also a significant expression of Phatty's tastes in his outfits, wherein he matches a need or desire for simplicity and sophistication in cuts and colours with an eye for tailoring details and plays enthusiastically, though reasonably discreetly, with pattern and texture. He wears 'em slim and lightly structured rather than tight and figure-sculpting, which captures a relaxed and weather-appropriate attitude to clothes and the very act of wearing them. Bill's descriptive term of masculine is an apt signifier for PG's approach - nothing overly fashionable; rather traditional in Western terms; practical; relatively simple; decisive (one can tell that his appearance is calculated to his specifications rather easily) and neat and clean-cut without appearing fussy (this is obviously reflected in his personal grooming)

And composition is also a key component

This is why I like this digest, and am grateful for your doing it. I missed this first time round, in the usual rush of posts in the WAYW thread. But it's a great look, and actually, probably my favourite of the week. Will steal elements...


Personally, I think my brain has a crossed wire when it comes to the undone BD collar thing. I just don't "get it". Not that it looks bad (PG always looks good!) , but I just don't really think it says anything more than "that guy deliberately left his collar buttons undone". Still, I guess PG shows it can work with an overall look at times.
