The conversation ??? HA! you mean , email.
what a fucking joke. I am done.

hopefully if enough of the consumer base and the affiliates complain, they will recognize ...

if i remember correctly, apolis was the one who gave Farinellis alot of grief over giving a discount on the bags because it "cheapened" the brand and such. obviously they dont think re-releasing "limited" products or pissing off their vendors/consumers cheapens the brand.

im sure Apolis knows this will piss off the people who first purchased the bag ... has their been a response from them?

regardless i have 4 pieces from Apolis including the bag and wont be buying their products again

apolis has always sucked

Would have been cool if they used the tote with their second run. Yeah, Apolis apparel hasn't been great in my experience. Picked up a cardigan last year and ended up sending it right back.

apolis quality is shit - i remember someone mentioning a button fell off their coat and apolis wouldnt even replace it

correction - this thread IS the top result

What has that to do with anything? The best philanthropy is quiet philanthropy.

Wow, that's fucking terrible.

Wow, I know that now I won't be purchasing this bag, and I hope others don't either. Guess I'll be getting the regular Filson instead.

Yeah I don't think the whole philanthropy is the issue with me. Just how they run their business and how they've treated SF affiliates.

I'm blown away by Apolis's treatment of SF affiliates. These guys are big thanks to the Internet community; spurning some of the Net's most active retailers makes no sense. I wonder if Context will continue to be a stockist for SS10. Anyway, another AA press release states that the production of these bags has used a year's worth of yield from the Ugandan farmers. This bag may be a big clusterf*ck but if the above is true then there's a silver lining to this mess.

The guys at Context and the apolis guys are good friends. I don't think Context would drop them as a brand. The Context guys are good eggs. Now the later .....

Ha-Ha look how shitty their new bow ties look

On the green one I think I see a thread hanging loose in the lower right corner

Apolis Craptivism

My two year old nephew could do just about as good of a job folding some fabric together.

Do brands really do this? I thought they'd send you a button (or provide spare buttons w/ coat) but leave it to the owner to put it back on.

sorry if I wasnt clear - they wouldn't send the guy a new button. I wouldn't expect them to replace the coat.

Didn't expect them to replace the coat either, thought you meant they'd sew it on for him. But yeah that's ridic--they're good for philanthropy but they're forgetting their customers.
