Growing Hair Longer

I have worn my hair short for a long time and want to wear it a bit longer. It is kinda wavy/curly. Any thoughts on the best way to grow it out so that it does not look bad during the process?

Find a hair style that that you kinda want when it's long, then keep it neat until it gets a little longer then the length you desire. Then you can trim it down and not worry that it will be too short.

there will be a stage when growing out here where it looks like shit, then after a while it will start to look good.

I'm also wondering about this. I would also like to try to grow mine out, but I hate my hair haha

My hair is also very wavy, and I have an annoying cowlick over my right eye. I usually wear it spiky with american crew products in a messy spiky/fauxhawk type thing but Im stumped as to how to wear it when it gets longer

don't cut it, don't cut it until it looks like a bush, deal with people making fun of you and then when it gets long enough, get it styled.

I've always had short hair until I got out of high school in May 08 and haven't cut it since. Basically, my hair started looking like shit for a long time, then started to look pretty cool, looked awesome for a couple of weeks, and now looks like shit again I'm gonna get it cut soon, I think.

Growing hair requires some effort theres none wrong with wanting to cut your hair but be patient do some thing right like eat lots of fruits and veg, exercise ragularly stay waay from fatty food stuff like that and you might see some improvement in the length.

^^^^ Spam. Not sure how long you think long is, but the longest I've grown my hair was when the fringe went past the tip of my nose when brushed down. It was annoying as hell to maintain and need to blow dry it all the time at that length so I thought fuck it and cut it short again. Then again my hair is incredibly straight and soft so it is naturally hard to maintain. Just a heads up on the potential pain in the arse-ness.

Pretty much this.

I have fine and wavy hair. I've been styling my hair short for more than 10 years. I took the decision in February that I would grow my hair out. I'm now halfway through this, my hair looks like crap, but I must continue going until I am reborn again as a long-haired Soul.

Hats are my best friend.
