I wanted to take inspiration from some of these photos but Xenox yelled at me.

And perhaps this thread would be better if you posted something constructive instead of criticizing other members for their attempts?

This is awesome. I have feeling this could never work for a pasty white guy, however. And chiral, those pics are amazing. Especially the last one. A few of my own:

This thread is very interesting, to see what influences/inspires us in our aesthetic and approach to dress. I think the carryover is easy to see into the WAYWT areas; from workwear to bauhaus... we've got a very diverse group and all of them are very unique.

First one is dope not many can pull that off and raf is hard as shit in that pic.

I think that if you replaced the boots with a pair of derbys (thinking about this season's APC shoes) it could work for a white boy. I'm gonna try it sometime this spring.

This is just fucking ridiculous. I saw someone wearing this exact outfit the other day. Well, actually their pants were completely different and they were wearing a cardigan instead of that shirt and a hat and, really, they didn't look that much alike. But still...all you can do is mimic. At least try to be original in who you draw your inspiration from. All the inspiration I need comes straight from my mirror. I feel anything else would be derivative.

Some people just can't take criticism or difference of opinion. I wasn't the one to make the original similarity, so clearly its not so ridiculous of a concept, I'm sure willy took a bit of flack on Sufu for it too.

Quick question, Where do you guys find a lot of your pictures of old actor? Do you just use google images?
