Having too many clothes sitting on the wardrobe, I realised it is better to dig it and let go some of my favourites. I normally wear 36-38" coat with 29-30" trousers. IC: Lanvin by Caruso (edited: it is by Canali) EU48 Suit in Charcoal. Super 120s Wool. Cupro/Bemberg Lining. Full Floating Interfacing (Fully Canvassed). $600 -> $575 -> $550 -> $525 My favourite. Measurements: Coat Armpits: 20 inches Waist: 17.75 inches Shoulders: 18 inches Sleeve: 23.5 inches Length: (Bottom of collar) 30.5 inches Trousers Waist: 30 inches waist (around 3 inches to be let out) Length: (Total) 40 inches; (Inseam) 29.25 inches Leg Opening Width: 8.25 inches FS: NOS Luciano Barbera Collezione Sartoriale (for Perkins Shearer) Sportscoat 36R (a bit bigger, could fits 38R too). Full Floating Interfacing (Fully Canvassed). 95% Cashmere 5% Wool. Cupro/Bemberg Lining I am led to believe this is made by St. Andrews based on this thread. Will take a picture of the tag later. $old Coat Armpits: 19.5 inches Waist: 18.25 inches Shoulders: (Front) 17.25 inches; (Back) 18 inches Sleeve: 23.5 inches (with additional one inch to let out) Length: (Bottom of collar) 29.5 inches FS: Jil Sander Tailor Made Suit EU46 in Charcoal. 61% Wool 39% Cotton. Cupro/Bemberg Lining. Full Floating Interfacing (Fully Canvassed). $550 ==> $525 ==> $500 I love Jil Sander since it is cut on the slim side with good construction nevertheless not enough opportunities to pull this one. Also I would no longer be able to wear this one since I am working out. Wore this on special occasions only. Measurements: (Never been altered before apart from hemming the trousers) Coat Armpits: 19 inches Waist: 17 inches Shoulders: 16.75 inches Sleeve: 25.75 inches Length: (Bottom of collar) 29 inches Trousers Waist: 30 inches waist (around 2 inches to be let out) Length: (Total) 39.5 inches; (Inseam) 29.5 inches Leg Opening Width: 7.5 inches I am locating in Australia hence Australian buyer get free standard postage. International please contact. Thanks very much.

The Lanvin is made by Canali. Caruso only started making some of their suits more recently.

Thanks to AnGeLiCbOrIs for the information. Measurements are up now. Please allow 0.5 - 1 cm differences. (edited: I've measured it and the measurements are closer to what I posted) Thanks.

Ah...nice items, but shoulders are too narrow for me. I'm at 18 inches.

BTW, might want to check carefully if you feel like your measurement variance is 1-2 cm -- that's close to an inch -- the type of thing that could really screw up shoulder fit or the balance of the jacket if too long or too short.

Yes, thanks for the input, I edited the measurements now. To convey a consistent message, I normally wear 36-38" coat with 29-30" trousers. Like coat that in general is cut 2-4 inches bigger at the chest (eg. a 36 tagged coat in general will have 19-20 inches armpits depending on maker), trousers are also generally cut 2 inches bigger at the waist (eg. a trousers tagged as 30 will have an actual 32 inches waist).

One general question, one question on the Jil Sander suit, and one comment...

Are the prices in $AUS or $US?

Do the lapels on the JS suit roll down to the button or do they stop higher as shown in the picture?

Fit pictures would help greatly.

Thanks.

The price is in USD nevertheless for convenience I'm happy to accept AUD payment (using the day conversion rate). The suit is still in the same condition as when I purchased it yet in my view that would be the same situation as pressing 3 buttons suit into 2.5 buttons (perhaps experts here could provide wisdom), therefore if you like the lapel to be closer to the button or meets the button, it can be done when the suit is pressed. I will dig on my computer to find out whether I have decent pictures in it or not. Hope this helps.

Is the suit coat a 3 roll 2?

The Lanvin is a classic three button suit, though some members here tried to press/iron the three button suit into 3r2 successfully.
