Cordovan usually refers to a burgundy/oxblood type color, Shell cordovan is the horse's ass we know and love.

That was the suggestion the thread opened with...
Captoe boots are a little blah

I was thinking about scraping the versatility idea and getting the Indy's whenever they are available, but I already have some red wings that serve the same purpose and the indy's look a little dainty for workboots and too bulky for anything else. Maybe if I saw a picture of them how I would actually wear them (Laced loosely in every other hole) and not so tightly laced I might change my mine.

Anyways, Why don't we try to make another StyleForum X Leather Soul cordovan boot?

Plaza wingtip of course.

Are there any brands other than Alden that make casual boots with shell cordovan? I'd love something with a Fiorentini + Baker or Buttero style in shell cordovan, but it only ever seems to show up on Aldens and fancy dress shoes.

I remember fuma once posted a picture of some really nice black wingtip boots w/o punching or full brogue that imho would look great with jeans, slacks or even a suit, not sure if they were cordovan though but damn those were nice looking boots.

I've been looking for something like those since, and still havent found anything, I almost got a pair of LV boots that seemed pretty similar but they had a half flower stitched to the other side of the wingtip and I just couldnt get past it to purchase them.
