A terrible band, they served as a gateway from the backstreet boys to real music. Unfortunately some never got any further.

I saw Blink play in Australia in 1994 in a small university bar. They were awesome. Id never heard of them then, just tagged along with my friends, and was impressed enough to buy a copy of Cheshire Cat from the merch stand afterwards. Great night, but it pretty much went downhill from there.

I saw them around the same time, they were an opening act for the second year of the Warped Tour, back when it was small enough to fit in The Capital Ballroom in DC. We were backstage hanging out with Face to Face after their set and I met Tom from Blink 182. He seemed like a pretty quiet, nice guy.

Fast forward about a year later, I'm backstage at the Ballroom again at a Less Than Jake, Blink 182, Bigwig show.... We're in LTJ's dressing room getting stoned and goofing off. Tom from Blink 182 walks by so I re-introduce myself to him and he acted like a total asshole rockstar. Keep in mind that Blink was opening for Less Than Jake at that show, they weren't even the headliners.

Fast forward about 3 years after that, I had free tickets and backstage access to the Blink 182 show at Merriweather Pavillion (don't laugh, I didn't pay for it, a liquor distributor gave them to me). At this point Blink was really popular and they had a bunch of security guards everywhere and Blink182 wouldn't even come out of their dressing room to do meet-and-greets with the radio station people.

I saw No Doubt at an HFSitval back in 98 or 99, believe it or not it was one of the best live performances I've ever seen.
