Any straightning shampoo and/or conditioner should help with poofiness. Straightner gel should do the trick to. It doesn't have any hold. I use Enjoy for all my hair styling needs.

Well I tried it, it works pretty well I guess it leaves some kind of residue in your hair so it is weighted down. Overall I'd give it a thumbs up.

I had a similar experience. The shampoo makes the hair a little greasy (in a not-gross way) which makes it less poofy. I like it. You only have to use a little bit of the shampoo because as soon as it hits the water it expands like crazy. For five bucks, not bad.

I tried it too, and liked it. I have really thick and poofy hair, and the Axe De-Poof shampoo kept it from poofing up and tangling.

I keep my hair at a medium length, in something of a pompadour, and usually when getting a haircut, any clippers they use have trouble cutting through and start chattering. My old barber always asked if I had anything in my hair when he heard his machine jamming, but I've always washed it out as well as I can before haircuts to avoid that. Anyway, I got a haircut the other day after using this shampoo for about a week, and for the first time I didn't have that problem.

I didn't notice it really leaving any residue or buildup or anything, but I always put other stuff in my hair afterwards anyway.
